What can I expect from the class?The course comprises 60 hours of instruction, featuring instructor-led online training and practice sessions. The amount of homework outside of class will vary for each student. The introductory tax preparation course begins with fundamental tax theory, with concepts that build progressively. Students are encouraged to engage actively in classroom discussions to grasp concepts and ideas early on. Any issues with foundational topics should be resolved before advancing to subsequent topics. Basic computer skills and reliable internet access are essential.

How much does the class cost?Individual sessions (beginning and advanced) are $199. If purchasing both sessions, the cost is $349. Course materials are offered for free via an e-book download. The printed course materials are available for an additional $25 plus tax if applicable.

How often does the class meet?Classes meet twice per week for 3 hours.

When are classes available?Session 1 (Beginner / Intermediate) begins Aug 27, 2024, and ends Oct 10, 2024. Session 2 (Advanced) begins Oct 15, 2024, and ends Nov 21, 2024.

Will class times meet my schedule?Classes are held from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm central standard time to allow participants to work around their daytime work schedules.

What happens if I miss a class?Classes are held on weekday evenings twice a week. All classes are held in the Virtual Classroom and will be recorded. Students will have access to class recordings that may have been missed during the course of the instruction.

What are the course attendance policies?Our general attendance policy requires that participants do not miss or fail to complete more than 8 hours of any sessions.

May I enroll after the classes have already begun?Enrollment is allowed up to and including the first week of class. Once the class has met three times, it is no longer possible to meet the attendance requirements, and registration at that time will not be allowed.

What if I want to learn about a specific area of tax preparation?Session 1 covers basic tax preparation and gives you the foundation needed to prepare a tax return. Session 2 covers more advanced tax topics and areas of special interest.

Do I get credit for previous education or training?Sorry, no credit is offered for previous education or training.

Do I need a college diploma?No, a college degree is not required to complete either course.

What if I’m under 18 and want to take the course?You must be at least 18 years of age at the time of enrollment in R&R University.

Will I be able to work for R&R and Associates after completing the course?A student must successfully complete the course and pass the final exam with a score of 80% or greater to be eligible to apply for a position as a tax pro with R&R and Associates.
